My approach to the Creativities Project...

I am interested in how organizations generate new knowledge, and leverage and transfer that knowledge within and across organizational boundaries.  I study the tension between local and systemic efforts to design new organizational processes, and the roles of knowledge variety as well as social, product, and process architectures in firm efforts to innovate.  I teach a masters’ level course on creativity and problem solving where I introduce students to both the theory and practice of creative ideation in organizational contexts.
